Hi Sorrow, I’ve posted what I thought of “In The Kitchen”……and I’ll pick up “Brick Lane”, as this was Monica Ali’s first book for which she was nominated for the Man Booker Prize. And there was alot of controversy surrounding “Brick Lane” as well (plus there’s a film version of it, too, but I’ll read the book first
